FERN Outdoor Adventures CIC
Hi I am Graeme and I am based in County Durham in North East England. I have been working and playing in the outdoors since I can remember climbing my first mountain at the age of 5 and it remains my favourite to this day (Helvellyn)
I run my own small business working with many local schools, families and youth groups in County Durham we offer many activities from Forest school session, archery, axe throwing, geo caching, navigation training and much more. My passion has and always will be the great outdoors and this is my go to place. In 2016 I stood down from 26 years of volunteering for Mountain Rescue, in this time I held many roles in the team (of which i served with 2 teams) and the last 10 years i was involved with Mountain Rescue Search Dogs and successfully fully grading my late springer spaniel Fern (who my business is named after)
This helped me become the person I am today, building confidence, self-esteem and the strong approachable person I am today. I can cope well in any situation and hold a calm level head even when things get tough. Over the years I have built up my skill base and continue today to still develop my skill set to help others in the outdoors.
